Checkout Pro

With Checkout Pro, the buyer will be redirected to the Mercado Pago website, where they will need to fill in the requested information and make the payment. The transaction is processed and completed outside the store environment. It is not necessary for the buyer to have a Mercado Pago account, and upon completing the transaction, the buyer can be redirected back to the store.

In order to start receiving payments with Mercado Pago, after creating a MercadoPagoV2 gateway affiliation, you will need to configure the payment methods you wish to offer.

Important
The MercadoPagoV1 gateway affiliation will be discontinued. If you already have a MercadoPagoV1 gateway affiliation, you'll need to migrate to MercadoPagoV2 so you can keep operating with Mercado Pago and benefit from the advantages that this new conector offers.

When setting up Checkout Pro, you can offer payments with the same methods you have previously configured in your Mercado Pago account:

Payment MethodDescription
CardsAllows integration with credit and debit cards.
Installment via Pix up to 12xWith this credit line managed by Mercado Pago, the customer has the option to finance their purchase without the need for a card, while the seller receives the full transaction amount in their account.
Mercado Pago Account BalanceAllows payments with the money available in the buyer's Mercado Pago account
Mercado Pago Open FinanceTransactions made in the store that connect the customer to their preferred banking institution through Mercado Pago. The payment is similar to a bank transaction: Mercado Pago directs the customer to authenticate and approve the transaction in their bank, and then automatically redirects them back to the store.
