\# Configure the Mercado Pago extension Once the Mercado Pago extension is installed, you must configure it to start accepting payments using our solutions. Follow the steps below to configure the Mercado Pago extension. 1\. In your store's Dashboard, click the \*\*Stores\*\* button located in the left sidebar menu. In the Configuration menu, select \*\*SALES > Payment Methods\*\*. Then, click the \*\*Other Payment Methods\*\* dropdown menu, where you will find the Mercado Pago extension. Click the \*\*Configure\*\* button next to it. !\[configure-mercado-pago-extension-2\](https://www.mercadopago.com.br/images/adobe-commerce/configure-mp-2-en-v1.png) Configure the following fields within the Mercado Pago extension. :::AccordionComponent{title="Mercado Pago Integration" pill="1"} At this stage, you will link your store with your Mercado Pago account. To do this, follow the steps below. 1\. Click the \*\*Mercado Pago Integration\*\* dropdown menu. 2\. In \*\*Checkout operation mode\*\*, select \*\*Production\*\*. 3\. Complete the \*\*Public Key - Production\*\* and \*\*Access Token - Production\*\* fields with the :toolTipComponent\[Public Key\]{content="Public key used in the \_frontend\_ to access information and encrypt data. You can find it in \*Application Details > Production Credentials\*."} and :toolTipComponent\[Access Token\]{content="Private key of the application created in Mercado Pago, used in the \_backend\_. Click the \*\*Save Config\*\* button in the upper right corner of the screen to finish linking your Mercado Pago account with your store. ::: :::AccordionComponent{title="Configure Store Name, Category, and Integrator ID" pill="2"} In this section, you'll enter information about your store, including the name and category. Optionally, if you are part of the :toolTipComponent\[Integrator ID\]{link="https://www.mercadopago.com/partners/pt" linkText="Partners Program" content="A unique identifier that Mercado Pago uses to officially recognize technology professionals who integrate its payment solutions. If you want to know more about the Partners Program, check the link below."}, you can fill in the Integrator ID field with your identifier number in the program to help register how many sales were processed using your account. If you are not part of the Partners Program, you may leave this field blank. 1\. Click the \*\*Store Name, Category and Integrator ID\*\* dropdown menu. 2\. In the \*\*Store Name\*\* field, enter your store's name. This name will appear on the customer's invoice. If the purchase was made through Checkout Pro, “Mercado Pago” will also appear on the invoice. 3\. In the \*\*Category of your store\*\* field, enter the category of the products you will sell in your store through Mercado Pago. 4\. Optionally, you can fill in the \*\*Integrator ID\*\* field with your Integrator ID number to record how many sales were processed with your account. If you don't have one, you can leave the field blank. By default, this option is enabled. If you want to change the selection, you must uncheck the \*\*Use system value\*\* option. By selecting \*\*Yes\*\*, your store will receive a refund notification every time a Credit Note is processed. By default, this option is enabled. If you want to modify this setting, you must uncheck the \*\*Use system value\*\* option. > WARNING > > This configuration is recommended only for "Sandbox - Testing environment" implementations. It is not recommended to have \*\*Debug\*\* mode enabled in production. By selecting \*\*Yes\*\*, your store will create a log of transactions.
