\# Card payments To offer card payments and process charges through Mercado Pago, you must configure each credit card brand you want to offer and then select Mercado Pago as the processing provider. Select the \*\*In full\*\* option. 6\. Optionally, you can add special requirements by clicking the \*\*Add special condition\*\* button. - \*\*Expiration date\*\*: Allows limiting the payment method activity only to specific date periods or establishing a recurrence. - \*\*Card issuer\*\*: Allows limiting the payment method activity according to the country and issuing bank of the card. - \*\*Trade policy (Sales channel)\*\*: Makes a payment condition available only for one or several specific trade policies. - \*\*Commercial condition\*\*: Creates rules that apply to specific groups of SKUs and determines criteria for a payment method to appear in the store checkout. - \*\*Account name\*\*: This field should only be completed if you have more than one store registered in the same VTEX account. In those cases, you must select which store you want to configure the payment method for. 7\. We recommend indicating the same amount to avoid inconsistencies. 6\. To do this, you must first install the \*\*Mercado Pago installments connection\*\* application and then configure interest installment payments for the brand you want to offer. Follow the steps below. ## Install Mercado Pago installments connection To ensure that the installment and interest conditions configured in VTEX match those configured in Mercado Pago and avoid billing inconsistencies, you must configure the \*\*Mercado Pago installments connection\*\* application. Follow the steps below to do so. 1\. In the side menu, select \*\*Apps > Extension Hub > App Store\*\*. 2\. In the search bar, type \*\*Mercado Pago installments connection\*\* and select the application that will appear below. !\[Search for installments connection app\](https://www.mercadopago.com.br/images/vtex/mp-installments-connection/installments-connection-install-en-v1.png) 3\. Click the \*\*Install\*\* button. A pop-up window will appear where you can read the terms and conditions. If you agree, confirm it using the \*\*Install\*\* button. 4\. Click the \*\*Item # 0\*\* button to link the seller's Mercado Pago account with the VTEX store. On this screen, you will be asked for Mercado Pago credentials for Provider Authorization. Complete the fields accordingly: | Field | Description | |---|---| | API key | This field refers to the \_Public Key\_ of the Mercado Pago application. Since you are in the development stage, you should use the :toolTipComponent\[\_Public Key\_ of the test user application\]{content="Public key of the test user application, which is used in the frontend to access information and encrypt data, whether in the development or testing stage. You can access it by logging in with your test user and going to \*Your integrations > Application details > Production > Production credentials\*"}. Later, you can change it to a production one. | | API Token | This field refers to the \_Access Token\_ of the Mercado Pago application. Finally, in the next window, click \*\*Save\*\* to finish the installation. ## Add credit card payments in installments with interest > WARNING > > The installment and interest conditions configured in VTEX must match the conditions configured in Mercado Pago to avoid billing inconsistencies. Therefore, make sure you have \*\*Mercado Pago installments connection\*\* configured. 1\. In the side menu, select \*\*Store settings > Payments > Settings\*\*. 2\.
